As part of the COLORS project, the University St. Kliment Ohridski in Bitola hosted an insightful roundtable bringing together representatives from institutions, academia, inspection bodies, civil society, and the private sector to explore solutions for transforming our food systems.

The event featured case studies that showcased:
• Successful organic production models
• Examples of eco-innovation in agriculture
• Actions to reduce food waste

The discussion emphasized the urgent need to:
• Shift from traditional to smart agriculture
• Transition from a linear to a circular economy
• Encourage multidisciplinary innovation for sustainable food systems

The event also served as a valuable opportunity to present the concept and ongoing development of the On Line Rural Empowerment Hub – a regional knowledge-sharing platform being created under the ADRURAL project. The Hub is envisioned as a space for rural communities, policymakers, and stakeholders across the ADRION region to access tools, case studies, and support in tackling rural challenges through smart solutions.

This gathering reaffirmed the importance of collaboration, innovation, and inclusive dialogue in building a healthier and more sustainable future for all.
