Idea Selection Criteria

  • Innovation & creativity of the solution
  • Scalability (Adoption to changing needs)
  • Understanding of the problem described
  • Team compatibility

Award

Best team will be selected from jury and will be awarded EUR 3.000 (voucher).

Conditions: Call for ideas

  • Team: minimum 2 and maximum 4 members
  • University students & graduates
  • Ages: does not matter
  • 20 team members are going to be shortlisted
  • Only the selected teams will be competing on the hackathon
  • Submitted ideas should tackle the main announced challenge
  • Participants shall be committed to actively participate during the hackathon preparation (Design Thinking Startup Training) and implementation (Hackathon and Innovation Forum)
  • The solution can build upon an existing product, but the team must be able to show that they developed it further during the hackathon.
  • Solutions that were entirely built before the hackathon will not be considered for prizes
  • Good command of English of team members is preferable

Technology and Consumer Banking: the Payment System

An increasing demand for a digital banking experience from millennials and Gen Zers is transforming how the entire banking industry operates. Retail and mobile banking, online, all digital banking, to neobank startups, technology has its hand in seemingly every aspect of the banking industry; and, the influence of technology will continue to launch banking into a digitized future.

Technology and Credit: Lending and Fundraising

With customers preferring digital-first platforms, financial institutions will in future switch to digital however legacy systems will be a challenge. Upcoming trends: digital lending software;  cloud-based microservices; peer-to-peer models; improved credit scoring systems; partnerships and collaboration with data providers, third party processors and technology companies; self-servicing and omnichannels capabilities etc.

Technology and Investing

The need to manage risk, optimize costs and increase efficiency of investments open space for new technology innovations.

Technology and Insurance

Insurtech refers to the use of technology innovations designed to find cost savings and efficiency from the current insurance industry model. E.g. of insurance areas Insurtech can solve: Claim Management, Underwriting (reviewing an individual's profile, assessing their risk profile, and extending them an insurance package offer that includes their coverage), Contract Execution, Risk Mitigation.

Answer: No, only a limited set of teams will be able to participate in the Prohramme. Once you have registered, you will receive e-mail by the organizer ( from 8 th to 10 th of November 2022) to confirm your participation. Detailed schedule will be provided with the confirmation.
Answer: No. Attendees MUST participate in team. Each team shoud be composed of 2 to 4 members. In the on application form, you should provide contact details of each member of the team.
