After the impactful discussion held in Bitola, our journey to highlight the role of women in the energy sector continued in Ohrid – bringing together voices that are shaping a more inclusive and equitable energy future.
The event brought forward three accomplished professionals whose presence and stories inspired open dialogue and critical reflection:
✔️ Elena Ivanovska, Advisor in the Cabinet of the Minister of Energy
✔️Mimoza Fajtiga, Project Manager in the Development and Investment Sector, AD MEPSO
✔️Emilija Sarafska, Energy Advisor at the Municipality of Bitola and panel moderator
Through personal reflections and professional insights, the speakers shared real-life experiences of navigating gender stereotypes, building careers in male-dominated environments, and the importance of systemic support for long-term change.
The roundtable format encouraged rich interaction with students and other guests – turning the session into a space for collective learning, inspiration, and networking.
The event was organized by the PREDA Plus Foundation, in partnership with PrimePoint Partners and the University of Information Science & Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” – Ohrid, Macedonia of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” – Ohrid, with support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), as part of the Stakeholder Review on Gender for the ACT Investment Plan under the WOLCOT program.
🔍 The message was clear: gender equality in the energy sector is not just a matter of fairness — it’s a driver of innovation, resilience, and sustainable development.
