Project: Empowerment – Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Regional Cooperation, and Development in the Western Balkans
Objective: To strengthen persons with disabilities and their organizations in the Western Balkans through regional dialogue, learning and exchange of practices, cross-border advocacy, promotion of public-privatecivil partnerships, and community-based support for PwDs.
Location: Prizren, with frequent travel to South Mitrovica and Istog.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Field Officer to support the implementation of activities aimed at empowering persons with disabilities (PwDs) in the Western Balkans. The Field Officer will engage with community stakeholders, facilitate regional cooperation, and promote inclusive development. This position plays a critical role in fostering partnerships, advocating for the rights of PwDs, and ensuring effective coordination among project partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and events at regional and local levels.
- Support the design and execution of community-based initiatives, such as inclusive education programs, accessible infrastructure projects, and public awareness campaigns.
- Collaborate with local authorities, organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), and other stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Monitor project activities, gather data, and report on progress and outcomes.
- Provide logistical and administrative support to the project team.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, documentation, and advocacy materials to promote inclusion and empowerment.
Qualifications
- Education: University degree in social sciences, development studies, or a related field.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in community development projects or working with persons with disabilities.
- Skills:
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in English and Albanian (knowledge of Serbian is an advantage).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Sensitivity to cultural and social diversity, particularly in the Western Balkans context.

Willingness to travel within the region.
Commitment to promoting the rights and inclusion of PwDs.
