A presentation on “IoT Technology for Smart Agriculture” was held in Resen as part of the PLUS Accelerator initiative led by the PREDA Plus Foundation.
Blagojce Kolicoski an electronics and IoT technology enthusiast, demonstrated the practical application and benefits of this modern technology. Through a live demo, he showed how IoT enables real-time monitoring of agricultural conditions and opens up possibilities for transforming data into actionable insights that improve farming efficiency and sustainability.
Beyond its practical use in agriculture, the IoT Laboratory in Resen serves as an open innovation space, available to all enthusiasts, startups, students, and entrepreneurs who wish to test ideas, develop new technologies, and create solutions that enhance agriculture and contribute to a more sustainable and greener future.
The installation of IoT equipment in the PLUS Accelerator represents a key milestone that completes PREDA Plus’s efforts for innovation and development in Prespa. Access to such technologies enables testing, innovation, and growth at the local level and with the PLUS Accelerator, that opportunity is now open to everyone.
These efforts are closely aligned with the objectives of the ADRURAL project, where innovation, knowledge sharing, and new technological practices drive the advancement of rural areas. By providing access to cutting-edge tools and creating a space for experimentation, Prespa becomes an example of how modern rural development can be supported through collaboration and smart innovation.
This presentation was part of the opening of the PLUS Accelerator in Resen, an initiative supported by the EU4EG project implemented by GIZ, co-financed by the European Union and the German Government.
