Foundation PREDA Plus – Prilep, in its office in Skopje runs a Creative industries component of the largest private sector development programme called Increasing Market Employability (IME) Programme together with its partner Swisscontact. IME is a four-year Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) Programme with the goal of “More working age women and men, in particular the young, are engaged in sustainable, decent employment or self-employment and/ or are earning higher incomes” in the three sectors: Creative Industries, Tourism and Hospitality and Green Economy. For the needs of IME Programme, PREDA Plus has the following job position opening:

Creative Industries Sector Manager

The Creative Industries Sector Manager will be responsible for design, strategy, plan, communicate, control, monitor and report interventions within creative industries component. S/he will develop and maintain close relationships with programme partners (mostly businesses) while overseeing and coordinating the implementation of interventions in the two sub-sectors: Software and IT Services and Product Design.

The candidates are expected to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:

– Responsible for the co-management of the creative industries sector
– Formulates strategies to develop the creative industries sector and seeks opportunities to work as per sector strategy
– Ensures regular communication with potential partners and interested parties from the creative industries sector as well as maintains good contacts with key stakeholders to increase synergies and to contribute to successful implementation of market activities
– Responsible for liaising with the relevant government and non-government institutions, civil sectors, previous and current projects working in the area, the private markets and with other key stakeholders in the sector
– Conducts regular field visits to ensure proper implementation of interventions
– Remains well aware of developments in the creative industries sector
– Refines and adapts the intervention strategies; conducts research on sector constraints, helps identify market failures/sector constraints and provides recommendations for addressing them
– Supports the Communications staff and Results Measurement staff in implementing the programme MRM (Monitoring Result Measurement) system
– Assists to update and supervise MRM aspects of the interventions, including establishing baselines, indicators and results
– Assists in development of the program annual plans,
– Prepares Regular Reports (weekly, monthly, bi-annual and annual)
– Coordinates activities related to the sector, with other IME project sectors: creative and green economy industries.

Required qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in economy, ICT, technical sciences, management or equivalent
– Minimum 5 years working experience in international or domestic programs
– Extensive knowledge and understanding of creative industries sector in Macedonia, particularly of Software and IT Services and Product Design industries
– Experience in working with different stakeholders and businesses in Macedonia
– Experience in monitoring and evaluation of programmes/projects
– Experience in project planning and reporting, needs assessments of sustainable sector area development
– Experience and existing communication with institutions and organizations active in development sectors
– Fluency in English (speaking, reading and writing);
– Strong communication and networking skills
– Knowledge of languages of minority groups in Macedonia will be considered as advantage
– Computer literacy in MS Office and Internet application
– Willingness to work in the field
– Driving licence: „B“ category
