Project: Support to mostly Syrian refugees both in camps and en-route in Serbia, FYR Macedonia and Greece
Implementation period: until 31.01.2017
The project “Support to mostly Syrian refugees both in camps and en-route in Serbia, FYR Macedonia and Greece” is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented by Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V – ASB in cooperation with PREDA Plus (in Macedonia), the Association for social support of the youth – ARSIS (in Greece), and the Initiative for Development and Cooperation – IDC (in Serbia).
The project aims to contribute to the improvement of the refugee situation in the region, and PREDA Plus is implementing the project that tackles the situation in Macedonia. This project offers assistance to refugees that are either transiting or stationed in Macedonia. Through distribution of food and hygiene packages, clothes and other needed items, this project assisted more than 100.000 refugees and migrants in Serbia and Macedonia.
PREDA Plus is implementing activities in one of the three main pillars of the project “Distribution of aid supplies”. The distribution of aid supplies is intended for refugees who are in the transit through Macedonia, as well as to the camps in border regions of the country and the refugees that are stationed there. This includes regular distribution of relief parcels of water, food and hygiene items, as well as distribution of clothing according to needs in the field for the refugees that are stationed or are just transiting through Macedonia.
