Representatives of PREDA Plus foundation, on April 16, 2015, took part in the kick-off meeting of the DECIDE project (Decision Support System for Disaster Emergency Management) in the Municipality of Amyntaio, Greece.
Also present at this meeting, were representatives of the other partners in the project: Municipality of Amyntaio; CERTH-HIT; and Centre for Sustainable Development and Education.
The DECIDE project is financed under the IPA Cross-border Programme Greece-The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 2007-2013. The project has been initiated at the request of the participating entities due to their needs for developing and applying mechanisms, procedures and tools that would allow them to respond in a more efficient way to emergency and disaster management operations in cases of natural and man-made hazards.
All DECIDE partners have worked extensively in the fields of emergency and disaster management operations and with information and communication technologies for effective decision making and coordination of activities.
The role of PREDA plus foundation, together and in cooperation with the Center of the Vardar Region and the Center for Sustainable Development and Advanced Education, will participate in the project by providing expert assistance for proper coordination, design and development of intelligent systems to support the decision-making process for civil protections and its operational setup in the Vardar region.
